Transgender

Sasha Allen The openly transgender female performer who made it to the Live Shows of The Voice set the record straight as they made it there. It was the first time within the 21 years of Voice competitions that Sasha could make it past The Battle Rounds. Newtown's duo, Jim and Sasha Allan, are currently in the Top 8 within the 21-year history of the live shows on The Voice! Sasha made it known his transgender status when they announced their auditions at the Blind Auditions. According to Parade.com, this was not an easy choice. Sasha said it was hard to decide because he had to showcase a sensitive side of himself public in front of millions. He made the transition while the time was when he was in high school. "But [last week during Fan Week], watching how people's responses to the event as well as the impact it has had on those around you really demonstrated that the decision was worthwhile and was the right choice, even though it was difficult to take." "'Have you ever Seen the Rain' is an album that's been included on the list of songs that we'd wanted to perform on the show for a really long time," Sasha told Parade.com. The Voice wasn't even around when we first played the song. It was a great surprise. The song was one we already knew, it was a track we knew we had ideas to arrange. "I was pleasantly surprised at how well the fans nailed the song." Transgender Transgender Transgender
